General Information
Adhering to the principles of fair play and ensuring the highest quality of texts accepted for publication, the Editorial Board has decided to implement a procedure to safeguard the originality of scientific articles since the inception of the journal.
Each person submitting a text is required to fill out a submission form.
The form includes a declaration aimed at preventing the phenomenon of ghostwriting (where someone significantly contributed to the creation of the publication but was not disclosed as an author) and guest authorship (where a person's involvement in creating the publication was minimal or nonexistent, yet they were indicated as an author or co-author).
After the publication is accepted for printing, each author fills out a copyright transfer statement.
Text preparation guidelines:
- The length of the article must not exceed one publishing page (up to 25,000 characters, including spaces and footnotes), while in the case of reviews, it should not exceed 9,000 characters.
- The texts should be prepared in the appropriate template (link to the template).
- The electronic version of the text (in .doc and .pdf format) is submitted by the Author through the Editorial Panel.
- The article should be accompanied by short abstracts in Polish and English (approximately 1,500 characters each) and keywords (up to 5 words).
- The article should also include author information, correspondence address, phone number, and email address, as well as the name and address of the academic institution. In the case of research funding resulting in the proposed publication, please provide information about the sources of funding.
- The submitted publication proposal should include a statement that the presented text has not been previously published elsewhere.
- The deadline for author's corrections is a maximum of 10 days. After this period, the submitted text, taking into account the reviewers' comments, will be directed for publication solely with editorial corrections.
- Publications in the 'dot.pl' journal are not subject to payment.
- The editorial office does not return unsolicited materials.
- The author's decision to publish in the 'dot.pl' journal signifies consent to archive the text in electronic form in the appropriate repository and databases with which the journal cooperates.
- Text files should be saved in .doc format (Word 97 or newer) and .pdf format (Adobe Reader).
- The author submits to the Editorial Office an electronic record of the text (with continuous pagination) including the main text, footnotes, final illustrative material, as well as tables and charts. The content in both formats must be identical.
- Page numbering: Placement - bottom of the page (footer), alignment - right-aligned.
- Font: 12-point Times New Roman, text justified with 1.5 line spacing, 2.5 cm margins.
- Only typographic quotation marks are allowed. Quotation marks - both opening and closing - should be adjacent to the text they refer to. The use of double commas or apostrophes instead of quotation marks is not accepted. Omitted portions in quotations should be indicated by three dots in square brackets: [...].
- Tables should be entered in 11-point Times New Roman font, with 1.5 line spacing. The use of bold font in headings is not allowed; numerical data should not be aligned with spaces or tabs. A comma should be used to separate decimal values in numerical data. Figures and tables intended for publication should be included in the text and numbered. The table title should be above the table, while the caption should be below the figure. Each source should be placed below the figure or table.
- Footnotes are used in texts published in the 'dot.pl' journal. A separate list of cited literature should be included. In footnotes, please use the bibliographic format adopted in the 'dot.pl' journal.
